They were the famous Beijing Hutong that were being successfully commercialized into night spots, drinking joints, coffee cafe, restaurants and shopping streets. It was charming walking the dimly lighted alleys while the cool autumn wind breezes gently with music playing from the bars...
Mutton, Chicken roast meat stick (¥10 for 3 giant sticks, S$2)
We didn't plan to visit any of those intensely fashioned eateries; instead 2 little food joints caught our attention with their many patrons. The 3rd stall to the right, named "阿拉伯大串烤肉" serves really nice juicy stick of roast meat; better than what we last had in Beijing restaurant!
And the renowned Wenyu Yogurt Shop (文宇奶酪店).
But at this late hour, much of their yogurt desserts had been sold out and strike off the price chart. We had their Banana Sour Milk (¥5, S$1) which tasted like our packed Banana Yogurt drink but more condensed. It was nice.
