Beijing D1 -

This was one of Beijing old culinary names that offer traditional snacks, noodles, rice and cakes. The shop operates like a canteen at its ground floor while the 2nd level was their restaurant.

As the canteen was very crowded with foreign names of food displayed, we were quite helpless and thus decide to advance to their restaurant for lunch.

We knew better to take everything a travel guide tells you with a pinch of salt and that salt was much needed indeed.

While Singaporean commonly prefers light green vegetable dishes, the one served was rather salty. The braised mutton was well cooked but of a peculiar flavor... ... thankfully, the satay mutton stick was fine.
