Chicken Up

Ginseng Chicken Soup ($30++)

Long time since our last Korean ginseng chicken soup from a good restaurant along Tanjong Pagar. But looking forward to relish the heartwarming broth, this pot from Chicken up left much to be desired and is easily forgettable.

Made famous by their Korean fried chicken, this is one dish you should not miss.

All is not lost when our meal is 50% discounted by Eatigo reservations. Go explore.

The Masses

Starter - Braised Cabbage ($8.90++, lunch promo)

A wedge of purple cabbage at near 10 bucks. It's worth it when we licked the bowl dry, and learned its painstaking recipe from the serving chef. If this is any cheaper, it's a steal.

Always enjoy French cuisine with its many layers of taste in a dish, each being unique and intriguing. We could never describe the dishes with its many details, but it's sheer culinary enjoyment with a loved one.

Heard about the famous Saveur? Offering cheap and good French cuisine? Now the ex-owner of Saveur started The Masses. And before it gets too crowded, we are here. And will be returning.

Starter - Foie Gras, 55g ($10.90++, lunch promo)
Lunch Mains - Iberico Porkloin ($15.90++)

Lunch Mains - 12Hrs Angus Braised Beef Cheek ($17.90++)

焱, Yan Fried Bee Hoon & Chicken Wings

Fried Bee Hoon ($0.60), Fried Chicken ($1.20)

Simple plate of fried vermicelli with fried chicken wings - got some to jest when Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee personally queued to buy it for his family. After the episode, queues at the already popular stall (#01-09) in the Redhill Lane Food Centre got really unbearable. That was in Jun, 2014.

Savoring the fare today got me to respect my prime minister's taste for food.

The springy vermicelli is lightly seasoned, just like home cooking. We really like it. The freshly deep fried chicken wings are savory, crisp, and juicy. One of the best you can get out here. I want to buy it for my family too.
