Lunch at cozily decorated Friends Restaurant is a disappointingly "noisy" affair.
Probably dues to the low ceiling, din of tableware clicks and conversation pieces seems to jingle around in the half-filled restaurant - we could hardly withstand the clamor. Definitely not for romantic dining despite its elegant setting; the noises is dizzying.
Alas, good friendly services and tasty food made up for the mishap.
Starter of Australian mesclun salad with exotic dried fruits & Raspberry vinaigrette for Ric. And i love Black Olive.
Clam Chowder Day Soup for me only, as Ric distastes it for having traces of "fishy" tangs. But i do love its thick & flavorful textures :)
Main of Sauteed Chicken with green Peas & creamy Mushroom cream. The chicken was definitely tender but tasteless if without the Mushroom Cream. I wouldn't mind really; it's better than having overly salty food.
And it's the Capellini with Bacon Aglio Olio topped with Basil & Parmesan cheese that fills our stomach; the Chicken alone barely do. The al dente Angel Hair is delightful.
And they served great Coffee. Thumbs Up!
Coupled with the Dessert of Cheese Cake finishes our meal. And Boy, i was glad that the restaurant is almost empty by this 2pm... Peace reigns :)
And dining made sweeter with friends; Ric is more than a good friend :))
Friends were actually having a 1 for 1 set meal promo with nearly every credit card (UOB, Citibank, Amex, RBS, OCBC, HSBC). The above 3 Course Set Lunch Menu @ $29.90++
