Sunset Wedding at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort!

The night was remembered as a dreamy reception by the South China Sea. A wedding banquet where only the closest of relatives were invited; all 10 tables only, and the best food served.

Romantic vocal from the wedding singer breezes the evening while the land flows milk and honey - the abundance of glorious food and bottomless drinks.

We have had a night with our most gracious hosts at the Rasa Sentosa Resort!

These pictures allow us to savour the night once more!

A Shangri's dinner is served, as our hosts designed the fare of an International buffet spread for their guests - it is the best we have had!! What a celebration! The relatives were surprised with the success of the untraditional Chinese wedding dinner; everyone was full of praises.

Yam...Yam Seng! To the newlyweds ")

Hi there, this looks absolutely lovely!

My partner and I are thinking of holding our wedding here as well, with a similar set-up. I'd be grateful if you could let me know what caterers were used on that evening?

Oh, it's the hotel caterers. All priced in with the booking of the ground. Congratulation there, Phoenix :)

Thanks, Beary :) I've contacted the hotel and have received the sample buffet menu. If you were curious - it's approx. $138++ per person.

Also wondered whether it was comfortable dining in the open. Were insects (eg. mosquitoes) an issue? Was it too hot? Would you have preferred dining indoors?

I don't want guests sitting there being attacked by mosquitoes, and drenched in sweat. Haha.

Thank you!

I remembered it was a sunny day but all turns well when the sun sets, it become the perfect evening for alfresco. No mosquitoes issue. Of course, the guests knew it was a outdoor dinner and dressed light ~ smart casual was the dress code. All the relatives, the older uncles and aunties love the dinner setup, so i supposed it is a sucessful dinner!

In fact, we wouldnt trade this for an indoor dinner. The outdoor ambience was great for wine drinking and the casual setup promote interaction across tables. So everybody lingers around even after we were done with dinner, and were wineing on and chatting. We had a great family bonding time.
