Moccona Mystique...

Moccona Mystique, 100g ($9.50)

Moccona was on our list of Freeze-dried Coffee to try. We read that Moccona Mystique uses 100% Arabica beans and is under Moccona's Master Blends range.

Mmmm... and it does taste good if you like strong coffee.
In fact, being slightly superior to the Robert Timms we had previously ;)

Absolut Vanilia Colibri

After a week of re-arranging my bedroom, it's finally really! And i could relax in my roomy space with the last drop of Absolut Vanilia Vodka ;)

And the recipe for record:

Ingredients:
3 Parts ABSOLUT Vanilia
1 Part Monin Coconut Syrup
2 Dashes Cream

Fill a Shaker with Ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

If you don't have a Shaker, just fill up your tumbler full with Ice cubes and stir hard till the Ice melts, else the drink would be too sweet.

Katong Fried Oyster (亚顺)

And so we had it. Made our rounds about Old Airport Rd Food Centre and decided on this stall for our Fried Oyster Omelet craving. There are at least 5 other stalls here offering this fare.

Fried Oyster ($4)

This can be one of the better stalls around; and $4 yield about 5 Oysters, not a scrooge serving either. So we packed 1 for Dad too.

No late Sat night out today; there's the World Cup matches to catch tonight ;)

Kallang Wanton Noodle

We knew of the many famous Wanton Mee stalls in Old Airport Rd Food Centre and had tried them all.

But we always come back to this little booth suited at the quiet back row; we had taken a liking to its seasoning sauces used.

Wanton Noodle ($2)

The $2 bowl, albeit little, satisfy our palate and gave us rooms to stomach more of the many variety of food at this popular hawker centre.

This is also one of my favourite Wanton Mee stall that serves up crunchy Pork lard ;)

Strawberries & Cherries...!

There's was crazy price slashing war on USA Strawberries between our 2 local supermarkets, the NTUC and GAINT this weekend!

It went as low as $2.98 for two boxes of the 250g WellPict Strawberries at GAINT!

We didn't benefit from the scuffle as we bought them earlier at $3.98 for 2.

It was still cheap as we discovered that WellPict Strawberries can be as delightful as Driscoll's.

USA Cherries (Discounted: $1.39 per 100grams)

And Ric was mindful of getting some of my Mom's favourite Cherries too ;) each Cherry painstakingly selected by Ric...

Tagore

The above was an extract of my favourite verses from the full version.

In this love sentiment story, the Flying bird and Fish were the main cast. Story goes that the Flying Bird, upon gliding pass a beautiful water, chanced on the Fish who was catching a breath on the water. Both exchanged glances and were locked in enraptured. Bewildering themselves that they have fallen deeply in love with each other.

The Bird circled overhead longingly, while the Fish was reluctant to sink beneath the waters..

Alas given the natural state of their life and living needs, they were destined not to be. Fish heaved a heavy sigh and sink to the bottom of the water when the Bird flown away forlornly. A brief encounter, a hasty parting. Since then, the Bird do not pass by this way anymore, and the Fish do not surfaced the water; having no news on each others.

Missing somebody already...?
