A movie-going outing is a costlier event in China than it does in Singapore.In a theatre of Golden Village standard, Mandarin movie sets you back at ￥80 (S$16) while an English Blockbuster costs ￥90 (S$18).
It's no wonder my China friend in Singapore often visits our local movie theatre, citing the affordable ticket prices and comfort of the modern cinema.
