Agro UK Farm Tour

It was 5km of long and winding dust track after our exit from the North-South Expressway to reach Agro UK Farm, located in Kluang, Johor Bahru.

The group can't wait to alight while the tour guide prepares the UK Farm's representative for our RM$80
Tour Package D that includes food snacks of Goat milk muffin, Ice cream, Passion fruit drink, Herbal tea and Mushroom Achar.

And animal feed of Goat grass, Goat milk and Ostrich grass; animal feeding sounded exciting!

Our mini bus (with an attap house roofing!) took us on our rounds about the farm.

Our first stop was at the feedstock processing factory where workers were grinding and mixing the animal feed. The UK lady guide tried her best explaining the processes but i wasn't listening; was distracted by the stench from the next door goat's pen... :)

A signboard outside the goat pen directed us to all the farm attractions we'll be visiting.

When the goats saw us approaching, they were all eager and hungry! Bleating us welcomingly.

We fed them all with unlimited rounds of goat's milk but they never seem to be satisfied!

Next we were brought to the goat/sheep pens where mechanical milk feeding was demonstrated to feed the young goats. We could hug and cuddle weeks old baby goat too!

While hand feeding the herd with dried grass, you could actually stole some 'feel' of them ;)

Happily entertained, the group proceeded to the herb sanctuary where many types of herbs grew and displayed with their names and uses.

These were the 3 that we were familiar with, having grown them in our home and made use of them as dietary and medical aides.

We then arrived at the Ostrich Park for some feeding time again. These animal feeding never fails to get the kids in our group squealed with such delight that we too, the adults found amusing :)

The scenic and idyllic green pastures maybe what we city folks appreciate. Also the vast clear blue skies.

We then visited the Jakun Village where hand-build houses, boardwalks and hunting traps of the Orang Asli culture were displayed. And one of our guys actually tried his hands on their blowpipe technique for hunting - scoring a bull's eye!

Disappointingly, there were just mushrooms posters to be seen in the Mushroom house, our final stop. No mushrooms products were available for sales either.

Goat Milk Muffin (RM2), Goat Milk Ice Cream (RM2), Passion Fruit Juice (RM3)

Back to the main reception hall of UK Farm, we were ushered to the dining area for our Sri Kulai set meal. After the 3hrs full of outdoor activities, these snacks tasted like manna and honey to our sun baked frames.

The softly spongy goat's milk muffins were especially memorable :)
