Fong Seng Nasi Lemak

Nasi Lemak ($3.70)

Brother packed several Fong Seng Fast Food Nasi Lemak for our dinner as they returned from some kite-flying action at West Coast Park. I failed to capture the entire assortment from the many boxed dinner; this was Father's ;)

We generally concluded Fong Seng of carrying delectable Coconut Rice but seasonings used on their many dishes were overly pile on.

Being a faithful patron of Fong Seng, Brother laments that the Fried Chicken Wings are on the wane. We had all find the food a tad too salty for our family liking ;)

McDonald's Cinnamon Melts

McDonald's Cinnamon Melts ($2.60)

Brother loves buying food for all to share and try; which is great :)

The McDonald’s Cinnamon Melts were bite-sized pieces of warm bread drenched with hot Cinnamon sugar glaze and frosting. It was sweet, but not sickly sweet. Notably high on calories, fat and sugar... but such concerns were never on my mind when i'm on Desserts spree ;)

Mint... and Stem Cuttings.

This the photo of Mint plant my colleague gave me last month, and i've since make stem cuttings out of it..

The parent plant was blossoming well with the new propagation looking on from the behind pot ;)

Sister-in-law once had a really bad Cough that wouldn't go away after all medication. Her mum had then boiled this species of Mint in meat soup and cures her. So, 2 of these newly delivered Mints were reserved for her :)

The Mint seem to be very good for Cold relives too, but i was found to display allergy symptoms of skin itchiness; do be careful on any self-medication ;)

Lipton TEA Granules

Lipton Tea Granules, 40g ($8.65)

Finally, a familiar brand.
And we had only Lipton offering Tea granules in small Singapore market.

Tea granules do present the purest form of Teh-O enjoyment. The absence of a tea bag does bother us initially but the sleekness of the pure essence triumph over.

Great for Teh-O; addition of milk, somehow spoiled the teapot..

Davidoff Cafe - Fine Aroma

Davidoff Dry Freeze Coffee, 100g ($11.50)

Our 1st purchase of lighter tasting Coffee... Usually you would buy something of a condensed flavor so you save as you normally require less from such caked concentration, right?

Quite right here.

We do taste an absence of typical coffee astringency from 'Fine Aroma' of Davidoff. Fine tasting indeed but it takes some getting used to for us...

McCafe's Mocha Chips Frappe

Mocha Chips Frappe, large ($4.70)

Sipping our Frappe Coffee, we sat waiting to watch the fireworks display of the Youth Olympics Games (YOG) Opening Ceremony.

Sadly, the coffee-chocolate goodness of the Mocha was weak.

With an extra toppings of whipped cream and extra chips (of blended coffee beans), it still lag behind, in our experience, the ice-blended from Gloria Jeans Coffee.

Thankfully, the weather was cool, the crowd was orderly and the fireworks were creatively beautiful.. In the great accompaniment of Ric ;)
