Pasta de Waraku

All Waraku stores in the Orchard shopping belt were having this 50% rebate in the form of return vouchers for the month of March. Think dinner hours excluded? Can't remember.

We had ordered the economic Lunch set of A+B ($9.99++) and my favourite Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia (Squid Ink Black Pasta) today.

A - Carbonara Waraku Style with Bacon

Its creamy Carbonara was a dish we both were too weak to resist.

Breaking the half cooked egg yolk and mixing it together with the cream cheesy mix provides a remarkably rich and contented tasting sensation... oh, i love Carbonara with Egg Yolkyyy... heavenly!

B- Curry Pilaf with Bacon

You've heard of Fried Rice grains coated with Eggs? The one here were coated with their spicy curry powder.

Stimulatingly spicy yet not overwhelming, its Japanese Rice grains provide a good chewy bite. Nice try.

Hi Beary,

Look like you also like Japanese food a lot. Just came across this newly open Japanese eatery at 20 Lorong Telok #01-01 (opposite OCBC Center) by the name Dezato Dessert Bar.

However, don't be fool by the business name. They served food other than dessert and I must say the food is a lot better than some Japanese Restaurant. Price is reasonable too.

Chat with the boss Derick and found out that he was trained in Japan when he previously worked in another Japanese Restaurant. IF you are going to try out there, as Derick to recommend for food not on the menu ... it is more interesting. These are usually food prepared with seasonal ingredients which are un-predictable and so not on the menu ..

Thanks,
Albert
